Time Intelligence: Getting More Done in Less Time - With Less Stress

You have a lot to do and only a limited amount of time. Many activities require a high level of concentration. In reality, interruptions are more the norm rather than the exception. Often, it is difficult to find a good compromise between short term demands and other - important - but more medium or long term activities.

Target Group

WU staff who want to accomplish more in less time. You should speak English at upper intermediate level (minimum B2 according to the Common European Frame of Reference for Languages; you can find a guideline at http://www.wu.ac.at/structure/servicecenters/pep/ERFL.pdf) to be able to take an active part in the workshop.

Workshop Goals

In this workshop participants

  • learn proven principles with a broad application on how to organize time and tasks
  • get inspired to reflect on their working routines and learn how to achieve lasting habit changes

This seminar is not about superficial or minimal changes that are usually forgotten a few days later but rather proven principles with a broad application. Although many topics will be discussed based on only one or two areas of application, you will find that the strategies will have a broader application in your daily work. You will get lots of concrete tips and also benefit from the thinking patterns behind the tips.

Workshop Content

The main part of the seminar is 40 powerful time saving tips:

  • The most important hour of the week
  • How to influence others
  • The right to choose how to spend your time
  • Accessibility vs. getting things done
  • Being replaceable: good or bad?
  • How to save time with „how it works“
  • Transparency is king
  • The „pre-information“ as an escape

In addition, you will get input on additional, related topics like “the thinking and action habits of highly effective people”, “ways to solve problems in groups effectively” and “how to master desired habit changes”.
